Who is eligible for home care through Medicaid?
Community HealthChoices serves Pennsylvania adults 21 and older who qualify for Medicaid long-term services, including older adults and adults with physical disabilities. Your service coordinator decides how many hours you're approved for.
How much does private-pay care cost?
It depends on how many hours you need. You'll get a clear written estimate at your free in-home visit, before any care begins.
How quickly can care start?
Usually within a few days of your free visit. For Medicaid participants, care begins once TrueHaven is approved in your service plan.
Do you provide medical care?
No. Our caregivers help with personal care, household tasks, and companionship, and can remind clients to take medication, but don't give medication or perform nursing tasks.
Can I change my caregiver?
Yes. If the fit isn't right, just ask and we'll make a change.
What if I have a concern or complaint?
