5. Background check & signature

Pennsylvania law requires every Direct Care Worker to pass a PA State Police criminal background check (plus an FBI fingerprint check if you have lived in PA for less than two years), a two-step TB test, and TrueHaven's competency training and evaluation before working with clients. These are done after a conditional job offer.
